WEEK 2 — PASSOVER: The Night God Protected His People

DAY 1 — GOD WARNED HIS PEOPLE
Read Together: Exodus 11:4–7
Key Truth for Kids: God warns people before judgment comes.
Talk About:
Activity:
Before the Passover night, God warned everyone what would happen. God always tells people the truth before He acts.
Family Prayer:
God, thank You that You tell us the truth and warn us so we can follow You.
Memory Verse:
Amos 3:7 (simplified) - The Lord tells His servants what He is going to do.
DAY 2 — THE PERFECT LAMB
Read Together: Exodus 12:3–6
Key Truth for Kids: God required a perfect lamb.
Talk About:
Activity:
God required a perfect lamb because it pointed to Jesus, who was perfect.
Family Prayer:
Jesus, thank You for being the perfect Lamb who never sinned.
Memory Verse:
1 Peter 1:19 (simplified) - Christ was the perfect lamb without sin.
DAY 3 — THE BLOOD ON THE DOOR
Read Together: Exodus 12:7–13
Key Truth for Kids: The blood showed which houses trusted God.
Talk About:
Activity:
The blood showed that the family trusted what God said.
Family Prayer:
Lord, thank You for giving Your people a way to be protected.
Memory Verse:
Exodus 12:13 (simplified) - When I see the blood, I will pass over you.
DAY 4 — GOD PROTECTED HIS PEOPLE
Read Together: Exodus 12:29–32
Key Truth for Kids: God protected the homes marked by the blood.
Talk About:
Activity:
Every house with the blood was safe. God kept His promise.
Family Prayer:
God, thank You that You always keep Your promises.
Memory Verse:

DAY 5 — JESUS IS THE PASSOVER LAMB

Key Truth for Kids: Jesus is the Lamb who takes away sin.
Talk About:
Activity:
Draw three pictures together:
The Passover lamb helped people understand what Jesus would do.
Family Prayer:
Jesus, thank You for being the Lamb who saves us.
Memory Verse:
John 1:29 (simplified) - Look! The Lamb of God who takes away sin.

This week focuses on understanding the Passover story itself. Children should come away knowing:

- What did God say would happen that night?
- What did God promise about His people, Israel?
- Why is it important that God warns people first?
Activity:
- Turn off the lights in the room.
Before the Passover night, God warned everyone what would happen. God always tells people the truth before He acts.
- Turn the lights back on and say:
- God warned Egypt, but He also gave His people a way to be safe.
Family Prayer:
God, thank You that You tell us the truth and warn us so we can follow You.
