Day 1 — Life and Separation
Read: Genesis 2:16–17
Questions:
  • What warning did God give Adam in the garden?
  • What would happen if Adam disobeyed God?
  • Why does separation from God lead to death?

Key Insight: Life is found in fellowship with God, and separation from Him brings death.

Day 2 — Life Must Be Given
Read: Leviticus 17:11
Questions:
  • What does Scripture say is in the blood?
  • What did God say the blood was given for?
  • Why does atonement require life?

Key Insight: Blood represents life given to restore life.

Day 3 — The Substitute on the Mountain
Read: Genesis 22:12–14
Questions:
  • What was Abraham about to sacrifice?
  • What did God provide instead of Isaac?
  • What did Abraham name the place where God provided the ram?

Key Insight:  God revealed that He Himself would provide the substitute.

Day 4 — The Passover Lamb
Read: Exodus 12:5–13
Questions:
  • What kind of lamb did God require for Passover?
  • Where was the lamb’s blood placed?
  • What would happen when God saw the blood?

Key Insight:  The lamb’s life stood in the place of the firstborn.

Day 5 — The Suffering Lamb
Read: Isaiah 53:4–7
Questions:
  • What does Isaiah say the servant carried?
  • How is the servant compared to a lamb?
  • What does this prophecy reveal about God’s plan of salvation?

Key Insight: Isaiah foretells the coming Lamb who would bear the sins of others.

Day 6 — The Lamb of God
Read: John 1:29
Questions:
  • What title does John the Baptist give Jesus?
  • What does it mean that Jesus takes away the sin of the world?
  • How does Jesus fulfill the pattern of the Passover lamb?

Key Insight: Jesus is the Lamb God promised to provide.

Day 7 — The Lamb Who Died for Us
Read: Romans 5:8 and 1 Peter 2:24
Questions:
  • What does Romans say Christ did for sinners?
  • What does Peter say Jesus carried on the cross?
  • Why is Jesus’ death described as substitution?

Key Insight:  Jesus took our place so we could be restored to God.
