We recently completed Vision 2030, which is a 5-year vision for our church. The vision has 4 main pillars of how it is delivered – Evangelism, Worship, Discipleship, and Charity (love).

WHY WE WORSHIP: A People Sustained by the Presence of God
Pastor Ryan Perry
Good Hope Baptist Church
15 February 2026
Text: John 4; Matthew 12:6; Romans 12:1; Acts 2
SERMON THESIS
Worship is not a service we attend or a style we prefer. Worship is the ongoing response of a people who live in the presence of God. God forms disciples, sends them into the world, and sustains them through worship that orders all of life around His presence.
Vision 2030 depends on worship that is not performative, but formative - shaping obedience, unity, and endurance as God’s people live faithfully under His reign.
For Vision 2030 today, what sustains us, keeps us moving, and keeps us faithful when the road is long? The Bible gives one answer: The presence of God. That is worship. Read More

VISION 2030 SERMON 3 – WHY WE ARE SENT: From Learners to Those Sent to Bring Heaven to Earth
Pastor Ryan Perry
18 January 2026
Good Hope Baptist Church
SERMON THESIS
From the beginning, God’s purpose has been to dwell with humanity and extend His rule on earth as it is in heaven. Jesus forms disciples by correcting their understanding of reality and training them to live under God’s reign.
Through the power of the Holy Spirit, those disciples are then sent not to escape the world, but to carry God’s life, truth, and rule into it. Evangelism is participation in God’s work of bringing heaven to earth.
Many people assume the goal of faith is to get people out of earth and into heaven, but Scripture tells a very different story.

VISION 2030 SERIES Sermon 2
WHY WE ARE FORMED: Disciples Shaped to Live Under the Lordship of Christ
Pastor Ryan Perry Sermon 18 January 2026
Text: Luke 9:23–24
THESIS:
Discipleship is the lifelong process by which Jesus reshapes our understanding, reorders our loves, and trains us to live under His Lordship. The church does not succeed by gathering crowds or maintaining programs, but by forming disciples who obey Jesus and help others do the same. Vision 2030 depends on a church willing to be formed, not merely involved.
Last week we asked why we exist. We saw that when people truly understand who Jesus is, their lives are reordered.
Before Scripture ever asks what we will do, it asks a more foundational question, “Who are we becoming?” The Bible calls that process discipleship.

Why We Exist: A People Reordered by Revealed Truth
Pastor Ryan Perry Sermon 18 January 2026
Text: Acts 2:36–47
Thesis: If the church does not understand why it exists, the next generation does not inherit faith; they inherit confusion. Vision 2030 is not God saying something new. It is God saying, “Now is the time”. Read More
