The GHBC Spiritual Gifts and Ministry Expressions Discovery is a custom discernment tool designed to help participants prayerfully explore how the Holy Spirit may have equipped them to build up the church and participate in God’s mission.

It examines 29 gift and ministry expression areas. Each area is evaluated for four forms of evidence: Desire, Experience, Affirmation from others, and observable Fruit. That results in 116 statements for the participant to rate. Each gift or ministry expression is also connected to one or more relevant GHBC ministry areas.
 
Participants rate each statement from 0 to 4. The responses for each area produce a score of up to 16. The score results identify three dominant and three subordinate gifts or ministry expressions. The user may also complete a checklist indicating their interest in GHBC ministry areas, and there is an area for them to capture reflection prompts. The participant may also review a complete profile of all 29 areas. For each area, there are scripture references and a description of the area.

Responses and results are ONLY recorded on their local device. though the results may be saved or printed for later use or sharing.

The assessment is a discernment aid—not a final revelation or automatic ministry assignment. Results should be considered alongside Scripture, prayer, ministry experience, trusted believers, and church leadership.
